Louise Kamwangi

Louise Kamwangi is a seasoned line producer with solid experience in production oversight in charge of both schedule and budgetary elements. Currently she is overseeing the realization of production and post-production elements of Kina Series –which is an actioned-packed 260 episode Telenovela that is an adaptation of the Emmy nominated South African Series titled The River.

Louise started her career in film as a set runner for a commercial upon completion of a Diploma in Film/ TV Production in 2008. From there she worked her way up the ranks becoming Production Assistant in “Changes” season 1, a Production Coordinator in “Changes” Seasons 2 and 3 and “Tusker Project Fame” season 5 and the production manager in KONA, a 260-episode Telenovela that aired on Africa Magic Entertainment and 15 sixty minute Africa Magic Original Films. Additionally, she has worked on other numerous TV commercials, music videos and documentaries. In 2014, she was production manager for the eleventh season of “Gulder Ultimate Search”, which is Nigeria’s biggest reality show. 

With over 10 years’ experience in the motion picture industry, she is skilful on how to breakdown scripts, prepare production schedules and manage allocated resources in lieu of set out project scope, timelines and deliverables. Her role extends to liaising and negotiating with vendors, contracting crew and cast and coordinating daily logistical elements.

Her line production and project management services have been crucial in realizing independent productions Zamaradi Productions, which include Sunrise [26 episodes]; Trade Centre [13 episodes]; Nyumba 10[26 episodes]; Fihi [52 episodes]; Bypass Resort [26 episodes]; Borderline [26 episodes]; La Msingi [26 episodes]; Kwa JP [26 episodes]; K.E.R.U – Kenya’s first counter-terrorism show [26 Episodes]; Dream Child feature film [9o minutes].
